Welcome rotation students Humza Hemani and Cassidy (Cass) Pitts!

Two new rotation students started in the Meers’ lab in January 2024.

Humza is a PhD student in the Biomedical Informatics and Data Science program. During his rotation, Humza will be characterizing histone modifications in acute myeloid leukemia by analyzing sequencing data from CUT&Tag experiments on patient samples.

Molecular Genetics and Genomics (MGG) student Cassidy (Cass) will spend her rotation designing the "CUT & GLOM" (Grab Ligand On Magnet) technology. This technique builds on CUT&RUN to increase resolution and distinguish between pioneering and non-pioneering transcription factors.

Welcome Humza and Cass!
